Decolonize Your Mind Print
100% OF PROFITS DONATED. This print features the outcry to decolonize our minds, as many textbooks and American and World History curriculums are consciously setup for the erasure of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and are told from the point of view of white colonialism. In order to combat white fragility and supremacy, we must change the way history is taught in our schools, and we as adults must reeducate ourselves. I will be donating 100% of profits from the sales of this print to Zinn Education Project, a non-profit that aims to teach a people’s history from “the standpoint of the workers and not just the owners, the soldiers and not just the generals, the invaded and not just the invaders”. They offer free, downloadable lessons and articles from a wide range of themes from the Civil Rights Movement to Climate Justice to LGBTQ to Pacific Islander Justice, as well as resources such as social justice books, authors, and more. Through their work, they are able to highlight the important roles of working people, women, people of color, and social movements that shaped our history, as well as highlighting the injustices faced by BIPOC on a global scale. Donations will be ongoing.
